Another Day In The "Hood"

There is something strange going on in "my" neighborhood. Oh, please Mr. Rogers, make it a "good" day in the neighborhood.

After receiving messages while out of town for Thanksgiving, it seems reassuring to some of us that another "nightmare" on Main may be facing demise.

In my opinion, and my own, I hope to see that day. A, what I consider, "ponzi" scheme getting ready to implode. Gee...how many people and how many times did a bunch of us try to tell the powers that be? Too many to count, that's for sure.

No one wants to see (well, there's always an exception to any rule) anyone fail...but crooks are crooks and liars are liars...and if you lay down with dogs you get up with fleas.

Enough said...and this is my opinion.

Peace, NA

"Enough said."

Er, exactly what was said?

There is a nightmare, a Ponzi scheme and fleas. Perhaps Inspector Clousseau will wander along to help solve the indeterminate mystery.

Do you live in my neighborhood? I am pretty sure you do not; therefore, while on your bicycle taking pictures of my yard -- you play Inspector Cousseau and see how many other people you can keep from getting hurt.

Compared to this situation, you are out of your league...a lot of people are. And? Are you in bed with them and already have fleas? Your posting could very easily be interpreted to be same.

And, in other words, this is probably where you may wish to mind your own business. At least, that's my opinion.

Do you find anything slightly askew, not to mention mildly schizoid, about publishing in a public forum and then telling someone to mind his own business?

But I'll heed the warning. Back to the flea circus, where there is no writer's strike.

Let's flip that question around, shall we? Do you find anything slightly askew, about posting in a public forum about something you know nothing about? It's not anything you are living and experiencing in your neighborhood; why do you feel the need to have to comment on things you know nothing about?

As far as me telling you to mind your own, truly -- I wanted to be a lot stronger, but wasn't.

It may be a public forum but unless you have the facts, and know people hurt (good neighbors) -- it's just none of your beeswax, at least in my humble opinion.

Please, don't get me wrong. Being extremely busy lately with various things in life, I have truly enjoyed your writings about Southern Indiana One. No one would agree with you more. I simply didn't have the time to tell you how right on the money I felt you were and are.

So, be safe New Albanian. You read the paper yesterday (the letter to the Editor); so much more to come.

Peace.

Are we all not neighbors in this city? Isnt that how we each envisioned our city to become?
I personally feel that if there is indeed a problem serious enough to warrant such heated words, shouldn't we all be informed to keep an eye out in our own necks of the woods for the aftermath of what ever it is you speak of to set up shop on our streets?
After all, does it not hold true that "together we stand"

Very good points and lessons to all of us. "Together we stand" and "We The People" are words needing more and more to be said.

What is happening in our neighborhood the powers to be know and are very much aware. We are simply hoping the end has arrived for some who, in my opinion, are not the best of persons and definitely someone you do not want to do business with.

As we learn more, we'll tell more. Think of Kathleen Shelton; think of my family's over $7,000 now in property damage; think of the letter to the Editor from Commissioner/Police Officer Bush and Mark Seakbrook.

WE THE PEOPLE...it's all unraveling. And, as we are still discovering what is going down -- we won't be tipping our hands to any not already in the know.

We'd like to think everyone in town has already been snowed by the schmooze. Time will tell.

Thanks for reading.

In my opinion property damage or harassment is the lowest form of political cowardice and is inexcusable. As a fellow victim Yvonne, I can relate to your concerns.

The Chairman of the Floyd County Democrat Party, Randy Stumler should publicly repudiate the recent acts of political retribution suffered by anyone who chose to stand independent this Fall of the party and vote their conscience. If he does not, then he should resign.

I am solid behind your cause Yvonne

The only problem is Tim, I have no cause. The Sewer Slush fund is larger than ever; the sewers still aren't fixed; the books -- well, sewers, sanitation, drainage and stormwater are still outsourced, so, I don't have a cause.

My hopes are everyone will join hands and stop this special selective harrassment and enforcement and we are actually governed by justice for all.

And, please, don't leave Huckleberry out and what he endured simply because he spoke to the City Council about his concerns.

There a whole bunch of us -- but at least now TWO police officers have been harrassed; I already know the names of who did it.

As I said, it's all unraveling. Other than that, voter turnout spoke volumes.

WE THE PEOPLE -- I tell each and everyone of you, our forefathers knew what they were saying with those particular words. This madness nationally, etc., will not stop until WE THE PEOPLE...
