IS IT TRUE????????

Is it true?

Is it true, Mr. Mayor, the incident with Broadus and the Building Commission fiasco cost us, the citizens, $500,000.00?

Is it true, Mr. Mayor, you gave our garbage trucks away?

Is it true, Mr. Mayor, the Prosecutor and Sheriff came to see you yesterday about you collecting payroll taxes on your employees at the your "cleaners" and didn't turn them over to the State or Federal government?

Is It True?????

The elections couldn't come at a better time! I just hope this administration hasn't done irrreparable damage to the city, with the council we have it's a wonder we aren't bankrupt.

Speaking of "true," it brought to mind this quote from Groucho Marx ("Monkey Business"), one NOT directed at anyone. It's just funny.

I'll thank you to let me do the reporting around here.

Is it true you're getting a divorce as soon as your husband recovers his eyesight?

Is it true you wash your hair in clam broth?

Is it true you used to dance in a flea circus?

Thanks for your comments.

#2 and #3 have been verified as being correct. The Council was asked by me personally for a Resolution to have the Sanitation Contract looked at.

Yeah, Groucho was good at it, wasn't he?

The Council, I feel, will eventually "get 'er done"; as soon as the words said at all committee meetings behind the closed doors match what is said by the same people at an open meeting.

Peace...

Oh my god, Yvonne, #3 is true? You never told me you wash your hair in clam broth!

Toooo funnny, neighbor! Now you have me hankering for some good fried clams!

As I came up here to perform that "blog administrator" position, I was thinking about the people who work on the third floor downtown and a book I read. This book was recommended for all women in the "corporate" world and it was called Games Mother Never Taught You. In this book, they advise people like those who work on the 3rd floor, duck under your desks and don't come back out until the bullets stop flying. You do not want to get caught up in this mess, or you may find yourself becoming the "scape goat".

Wish my phone would stop ringing, but alas, it hasn't stopped all day.

BTW, the truck ID numbers were obtained with these pictures, as certain Council members have been asking (for Inventory purposes).

Well, two out of three have proven to be correct. Now, the Council simply has to come up with the Resolution to look into the leasing of our trucks; use of our buiding and utilities; and whether this privitization move has made us monies or saved us monies...

Wonder why the Prosecutor and the Sheriff went up to see the Mayor over the tax situation? That part didn't come out in the story.

No one wishes bad on any one...especially me. But gee whiz, how come citizens are more up on what is going on in this town than the press?

I know for certain the Tribune was contacted about the tax situation...but didn't know how to approach the subject with the Mayor. Awwww.
